Statement of Faith

  1. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
    (Genesis 1:1-2, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-2, 14, 18, John 14:8-17, Hebrews 1:2-3, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  2. God has revealed himself in the Scriptures of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. These are inspired by God and therefore solely sufficient, wholly trustworthy, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
    (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  3. Mankind was created in the image of God, and made to enjoy fellowship with Him. Man disobeyed God and so became estranged from Him. As a result sin came into the world, and physical and spiritual death by sin. All human beings are born with a sinful nature and are guilty in God’s sight, deserving his wrath.
    (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:7, Genesis 3, Psalm 100:3, Isaiah 40:7 Romans 3:9-23, Romans 5:12-14, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:3)

  4. The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s own Son, fully God, also became fully man, through being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect and sinless human life, died on the cross, thereby fully bearing God’s wrath for mankind’s sin. God raised him from the dead, He ascended and is now exalted at the right hand of God. All authority in heaven and earth has been given to him.
    (Philippians 2:6-11, John 1:1-4, Matthew 1:20-25,Luke 1:35, Galatians 4:4, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 4:14-15, Romans 4:25, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 1 Corinthians 15:12-28, Ephesians 1:20-23, Luke 24:50-51, Matthew 28:18)

  5. Salvation from God’s wrath is available for mankind as the gift of God’s grace, through the death of His Son. The Holy Spirit brings individuals to repent of their sins, to trust the Lord Jesus Christ, and live in Him. These people are born again of the Holy Spirit and are children of God.
    (Romans 3:21-28, Romans 5:6-9, John 16:7-11, Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12)

  6. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Christians are enabled to live holy lives, worship God, and to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ in the world and within the fellowship of the Church.
    (Romans 8:9, Ephesians 5:18, Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 3:18)

  7. The Church is the company of all Christians who have been, and are being formed by His Holy Spirit into one body, of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head. The Church is commissioned to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
    (1 Corinthians 12:4-14, Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18, Matthew 28:19-20)

  8. There is a personal devil, the enemy of God and of man, who with and through his co-fallen angels (demons) opposes the purposes of God on earth. Christ’s death on the cross defeated and doomed Satan who awaits his final judgement.
    (Matthew 4:1-11, Revelation 12:9-10, Colossians 2:15, 1 John 3:8, Revelation 20:10)

  9. The Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth to manifest His Kingdom in power and glory, and to judge the world in righteousness. The Church will be gathered and all the dead shall be raised. Those who are saved will inherit eternal life and those who are not will be condemned by God to eternal punishment.
    (John 14:3, Matthew 25:31,46, Isaiah 9:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 4:13 – 5:11, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21, Revelation 22)
