PORIRUA

Our Story

We are a community of people from all walks of life who are on mission helping people become total followers of Jesus Christ. We want to transform our community in Porirua, Wellington and the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

We meet each Sunday morning to worship God, learn from the Bible, share communion, encourage one another through testimonies and stories and seek to disciple both adults and children alike. We have a vibrant kids ministry with an intentional program to invest in our tamariki, not as a childcare service but as a core part of our vision to multiply disciples, multiply leaders and multiply churches.

Our community is led by a wonderful team of leaders, elders and our location pastor Anna Holmes. Our desire is that everyone is able to use and operate in the spiritual gifts they have been given and our community is a beautiful picture of everyone playing their part in this mission and vision.

Church is family and so is not confined to a Sunday morning, during the week we meet in small groups (we call these Life Groups) and they are a real opportunity to dig deeper into the Word,in building relationships and community.

Loving God and loving people is at the heart of all we do and it is how Jesus will be known in our workplaces, neighbourhoods and beyond. God is on the move and we want to join in His missional work as we seek to share the good news of Jesus with the people we interact with on a daily basis.

You are so welcome to come and be a part of what God is doing here in Porirua and we hope to welcome you and connect with you very soon.
