WHAT WE'LL LEARN: The Bible gives us wisdom by showing us God's design for his people.
Hear that the wisdom that God gave Solomon is now recorded in the Wisdom books of the Bible
Know that wisdom in the Bible shows us God’s design for his people, and the ‘best practice’ for living (rather than a formula)
Understand that God’s Word makes us more wise and more like Jesus
SERIES: The Good Book (Week 2 of 3)
BIBLE TEACHING: 1 Kings 3:3-15 and 2 Chronicles 1:7-13
MEMORY VERSE: (The Good Book Series): 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIRV
“God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.”

BIBLE STORY: The Beginning
WHAT WE'LL LEARN: God loves me, He shows me throughout creation.
Hear that God loves them.
Know they can find this truth when they look at creation.
Understand God created the world for us to enjoy. We find His love and power in all creation from tiny to huge.
MEMORY VERSE: “Thank the Lord because he is good. His faithful love continues forever.” Psalm 107:1 (NIrV)
Life Groups
Life Groups are essential at The Street Church. They are a place where we grow in our love for the Lord, find our place in community and learn how to live out Jesus' call to go and make disciples. If you are not in a Life Group and you’d like to be, please get in touch and we would love to help you find one. Fill in the form if you’d like to find out more.
Rightnow Media
Did you know that anyone that is part of The Street Church can have access to an amazing collection of Christian video resources at Rightnow Media? It contains all sorts of goodness for kids and adults alike. If you don’t already have a login click on the link to get set up and enjoy!
Baptism
Jesus clearly instructed us that when we repent and choose to follow him, baptism is the first step in that new life of following him. If you haven’t been baptised and would like to be, please get in touch and we’d love to talk to you about it. Email east@thestreet.org.nz or talk to your life group leader or Simon and Jenny.
Serving
The church is described in the New Testament as a body, where every part is different and has a unique part to play. The body can only be what God intended it to be if every person plays their part. Serving on a team is a great way to contribute your gifts and to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ. If you’d like to find out more, fill in this form and we’ll be in touch!
Giving
Giving financially to your local church is a Biblical principle that is key to training each of our hearts in generosity and is a declaration that money is not our master. The money you give here is used to lead and operate this location of The Street, but also more widely to support The Street as it seeks to reach Wellington with the gospel. It also helps support several national ministries and international missions.
If you give financially to The Street; thank you. If you don’t yet give financially and would like to find out more about how you can start, check out the information below.
