Introducing Dave Heitman: Associate Pastor - Internal Ministries

We are thrilled to announce that Dave Heitman will be joining the pastoral staff as an Associate Pastor responsible for the Internal Ministries of the church. This role is one of the three key roles we have been praying about over the past few months.

Dave is from California and has been the Senior Pastor of Point Loma Calvary Chapel in San Diego. Dave ahs sensed a call to New Zealand for the past seven years. He was in New Zealand for the Greg Laurie Harvest Event in 2007 and then again earlier this year visiting Dunedin, where he explored the possibilites of planting a church based around ministry to the university students.

He is coming to The Street for a 2 year term, during which time he will serve on the pastoral staff. His primary responsibilities int he first instance will be to provide leadership in the Youth and Young Adult areas and assist in the Disciple Making and Lifegroup ministries. He brings a wealth of experience to these areas.

David and his wife Melissa have two pre school children, Noah and Corban, and they are expecting their third child in April. We expect them to join us prior to the end of the year and I know that we as a church will welcome them into our family as they leave their home to serve the Lord here at The Street.
