Special Announcement
The Street City Church is served by 13 elders who are responsible for the spiritual oversight and governance of the church. Their role includes supporting the Senior Pastor and staff by providing wise counsel and advice. The elders serve as spiritual shepherds and are available to pray for people and provide care and counsel.
In the past two months the elders have appointed a new chairman. Allan Burdett has taken over this role from Andrew Stewart who served as chairman for the past two years. We sincerely thank Andrew for his ministry as chairman.
For several years the role of secretary to the elders has been undertaken by one of the elders. Grant O’Neill served in this role for a number of years and more recently Mark Chan has served. We sincerely thank both of them for their service as secretary.
To allow the elders to focus fully on the tasks they are required to do and to assist them with the growing workload of administrative functions, Matthew Conway has been appointed as secretary to the elders for a one year term.
As Allan takes up the role of chairman, and Matthew the secretarial role, please pray they would know God’s wisdom and strength as they lead in their new roles.
