Pastors’ Pen - Sunday 15 April ‘07

Have you ever stopped to think about what fills your day?  Work pressures, traffic issues, activities that fill every spare moment that we either sign up for or enroll our kids in.  And then we squeeze in the guilt ridden commitment to try and exercise and find time to build a meaningful relationship with others, starting first with our family and maybe moving beyond there if possible.

Or are you too busy that you don’t have time to think about it!

When Jesus said he came so that people may have life to the full, I don’t think he was talking about filling our diaries up with back to back appointments, meetings, tasks and commitments!

Over these next two weeks in our “Making Room for Life” series, we are giving ourselves permission to stop and think about life as it should be and then put in place some practical steps to help us work towards getting to a place where we have made room for life.

Like all transformational moments in our life, this one will require some action steps if a difference is to be made.  We want to get to grips with the kind of life we were made for, look at the way we approach our life and then learn how our life can be ordered (both inside our head and in practice) so that we develop healthy choices and ultimately find we have made room for what is important.

Blessings

Nick and Sarah
