How can one woman make a world of difference for the kingdom of God? How on earth can you or I make a dent in the darkness and desperation that we see around us? How can we even dream of walking in the mammoth footsteps of our Saviour? The book of Acts shows us how!

Jesus didn’t mince words when he told the disciples to hold fire and not attempt to make any impact for the kingdom until they were baptised with the Holy Spirit. But once they received God’s Spirit there was nothing that could stop these Jesus followers. Not death, prison, disease, persecution, disagreement, jealousy, sorcery, nor any other obstacle could put a stop to the advance of God’s kingdom on earth through every-day Jesus followers.

I love the book of Acts! Where the Church of Jesus Christ is born! Where heroes of the faith emerge and miracles abound. There’s something about immersing yourself in this book. It’s life changing.
