Celebrate Recovery®

The Celebrate Recovery® ministry at The Street City Church seeks to see people grow spiritually and be freed from their hurts, hang-ups and habits.

It is designed to help people:

  • seeking recovery and accountability in areas such as anger, anxiety, depression, eating issues, sexual impurity; or
  • hurting from things done to them in the past or things they have done to others; or
  • needing an outlet for pain or grief they are suffering

Mens’ and womens’ small groups work through eight proven principles based on the beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-10) and 12 steps. These groups support people to be freed from their hurts, hang-ups and habits by encouraging fellowship and celebrating God’s healing power in their lives as they work their way along the road to recovery.

Celebrate Recovery® Small Groups WILL:

  • Provide you a safe place to share your experiences, victories, and hopes with others going through a Christ-centred recovery.
  • Provide you with a leader who has gone through a similar hurt, hang-up, or habit, who will facilitate the group each week.
  • Provide you with the opportunity to find an accountability partner or mentor.

Celebrate Recovery® Small Groups WILL NOT:

  • Attempt to offer any professional or clinical advice – leaders are not counsellors.
  • Allow its members to attempt to “fix” one another.

New mens’ and womens’ small groups are starting throughout the year. To find out more about this course, or to sign up, email Celebrate Recovery or call our confidential phone line (04)385 5612 and we’ll get back to you.
