King Amaziah: Living Half-heartedly
2 Chronicles 25:2 says, “Amaziah did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, but not wholeheartedly.” “She’ll be right” or doing things “half-pie” is contrary to the way God would have us serve him. Bryce uses the life of King Amaziah to drive home the challenge of living wholeheartedly for our God.

King Joash spent 6 years of the first 7 years of his life hidden, under the protection of his uncle, Jehoida the priest, to avoid his murderous grandmother, Athaliah. The mentoring relationship between Joash and Jehoida spelt success for the reign of King Joash, but when Jehoida died, the Kingdom of Judah started to unravel.
