Descending into Eldership

In 1 Peter 5, Peter looks to the elders in the churches he is writing to and pleads with them to be shepherds of the church. This message explores what is involved in being a shepherd and leaves us with the challenges that every one of us has a responsibility to help others take the next step towards spiritual maturity.

The Word

Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly. These words issue a call to every follower of Christ to be fully devoted to reading and applying God’s word to their life. Through a study of 2 Timothy 3:16 we discover 4 principles of hiding God’s word in our heart, so we can live fully surrendered to Christ.

Reclaiming the Name

Has the name Christian become a negative word in today’s society? Why? Peter makes it clear that as Christians we should expect to suffer, but not for doing wrong. It’s time to start following Jesus again, striving to be more Christ-like and reclaim the name for his glory.
